Context and Challenges
Our client is a French bank founded in Lyon in 1863 and often considered as one of the three pillars of the French banking industry.
Focused on the French market, the bank’s activities include retail banking, private banking, professional banking, and corporate and wealth management.
It has nearly 20,900 employees in 2,065 locations throughout France, serving 6 million individual customers, 320,000 professional customers and 27,000 corporate and institutional customers.
In order to continue its digitalisation and convinced by the contribution of RPA in its digital workplace, the group’s strategy is to industrialise the production of RPA robots, to reduce the costs of all the professions within the bank (Risk, Collection, Card Services, etc.) and finally to improve the customer experience.

Our RPA (Robotic Process Automation) certified experts on UiPath helped our client’s IT teams to custom-design a unique solution, working on the following 3 aspects:
- Creation and use of common templates within Business Units to speed up the most complex processes
- Extraction of web and citrix files
- Compliance with banking rules on collections, fraud, financial transactions, etc.

- Processing of automated customer files (100 files/day per branch), verification of the consistency of financial transactions
- Processing of reporting and auditing tools, volumetry thanks to BI tools (QlikView)

Thanks to the deployments carried out, our client was able to considerably improve the quality of its reporting and auditing tools, automatically generated with RPA and coupled with Business Intelligence (BI) analysis tools.
The automated processing of customer files has saved an incredible amount of time, allowing employees to focus on human onboarding rather than on time-consuming, error-prone tasks.
