The Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major Web Application Upgrade

The Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major Web Application Upgrade

Thanks to CBTW, our tech group to which we belong, and its tech partnership with the FFT (French Tennis Federation), we are proud to share with you the upgrade of the web application for the 2023 tournament.

In the dynamic realm of sports and technology, the collaboration between CBTW & the FFT has paved the way for an exciting advancement in the world of Padel. The Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major, a tournament that captured the hearts of numerous enthusiasts in its inaugural edition, now stands at the threshold of a new chapter, bolstered by a cutting-edge web application. As the collaboration between sports and technology continues to evolve, this collaboration exemplifies the profound impact that a well-crafted web app can have on the landscape of a major Padel tournament.

After the launch of the tournament website last year and the launch of the Brussels Padel Mobile App in April 2023, our Belgian Delivery Center worked intensely on the upgrade of this web app by taking into consideration all the feedback from the FFT and the tournament shareholders.

Challenges & Approach

New Edition, New Design

The primary aim of the work on GPM (formerly 3PM) is to redesign the graphics of the website. There were several reasons for this redesign:

To respond to these challenges, we carried out the redesign with a design phase, followed by an integration phase. In this design phase, we added to the graphic redesign:

In fact, GPM is a backless project, so to obtain match results we have a simple API connection to our partner Crionet, which is responsible for displaying the information. However, for the “results” section, we encountered a minor problem concerning the design of the results. We couldn’t modify what Crionet had set up visually. Therefore, we had to change a CSS file so that Crionet could implement it on its own.

Implementation of a Tagging Plan

Finally, we implemented a tagging plan at the customer’s request.

A tagging plan is an essential tool for understanding and managing a website’s performance. It enables you to identify user behavior on the web app, making it easier to track and analyze your data.

For the tournament, this tagging plan enables the site to send events and collect information to create a dashboard for the customer. The dashboard will record:

Benefits

There are several benefits to be gained from this project:

Evolve with the Tournament

As the Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major embarks on its next chapter, the fusion of Positive Thinking Company’s software product engineering expertise with Padel booming in France paves the way for an exhilarating and seamless tournament experience. In an era where technology has emerged as an inseparable companion to sports, this web application stands as a testament to the transformative power of innovation, propelling Padel into an era of unprecedented accessibility and excitement.
