For several years, we have been committed to a CSR approach (Corporate Social Responsibility). This commitment to environmental, social and ethical issues is reflected in the day-to-day adjustments we make to our operations and in our support for charitable projects run by our employees!
In Switzerland, this year was marked by our support to the village of Sagon in Benin, lost at the end of an improbable 12 km track. This initiative came from Gaël Tardy, one of our consultants based in our Geneva office, who wanted to help the Ephata association. Created in 2004, this non-governmental organization aims to facilitate access to education for the children of the village so that they can develop their knowledge and have the chance to pursue a school course!
To support this association, Gaël collected all the remaining supplies of our former name SERIAL (sweaters, t-shirts, notebooks, …) to send them by container to the schoolchildren of this village.
The difficult living conditions do not allow the children to obtain the school material necessary for their education. The lack of financial means and the difficulty of access to this extremely isolated region prevent the schools from functioning properly. This support allows us to support the young students so that they obtain a better quality of education and to contribute implicitly to the development of the localities.
This CSR project will have provided school children with the supplies they desperately needed to continue their education and develop their knowledge!
We warmly thank Gaël for this wonderful initiative and for his unfailing investment!
The supplies arrived in the village of Sagon in December and were handed over to the young school children afterwards. We were very touched by the images captured during the handing over of the material to the school children:
