Positive Thinking Company involved in a CSR approach. A look back at our first project in Nepal!

Last year,Positive Thinking Company committed to a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) approach in order to actively contribute to the challenges of Sustainable Development.

This approach became reality with Positive Thinking Company’s commitment to financially support projects initiated and led by its employees, with a willingness to give priority to the quality education.

The first initiative came from Martial, one of our consultants, who wanted to help the school in Kaku, a remote village in the Himalayan chain that was severely affected by the 2015 earthquake. The difficult living conditions in the village do not enable schoolchildren to get the school materials they need for their education. The lack of financial resources and the difficulty of access to this extremely isolated region prevent the proper functioning of this school.

The double objective was therefore to collect school equipment from our agencies in order to send them by air to Nepal, and to insert them into bags made in the Kathmandu valley in order to contribute to the local economy.

Martial had already carried out a similar project in 2016 and the images taken when the equipment was given to the schoolchildren touched us a lot:

It is therefore with great enthusiasm that we conducted a collection of school supplies in our 4 agencies last November. The generous donations of our employees (and of neighboring companies) allowed us to collect more than 30 kilos of pencils, pens, erasers, etc…
This material was then sent by air freight to Nepal and inserted into the 200 bags produced there.

Handed to valiant carriers, this equipment arrived last week in the village of Kaku, and was handed over to the young schoolchildren during a local ceremony organized for the occasion. Here are the pictures of the ceremony:

Access to education in this small, timeless village remains complicated. But this project will have equipped 200 young schoolchildren, giving them the resources they desperately need to continue their education!

We warmly thank Martial for this wonderful initiative, as well as our collaborators for their generous contributions!
