Trends 2023 in Tech Conferences
Several trends can be observed in this year’s programming:
- Although announcements are still expected, as often the majority of events of the year focus on the first half of the year.
- There is a real return of events and the calendar is already full!
- After experimenting with video formats, then hybrid following the health crisis, we note: Both a return to privileged face-to-face, but also online alternatives more and more often offered. This makes conferences more accessible for those who do not have the opportunity to travel, but also more responsible by limiting the carbon footprint of travel.
- Moreover, even if not all the proposed events are eco-responsible, there is a real grip on environmental and societal issues. Almost all conferences feature talks on Tech for good, environment, accessibility and impact in general. Beware of greenwashing! But it makes it possible to connect these issues to Tech topics and to feed current exchanges and debates.
- Talks around Data, Cloud and security also occupy a large part of the programs.
Beyond these conferences, many other moments and sharing media are accessible to follow the news, carry out a professional watch, share, debate and meet other enthusiasts: such as Twitch, podcasts, Meetup, ….
